What are the differences between a F1 and F2 Visa application?

The differences are that the F2 Visa applicant needs more documents such as: a birth certificate if they are the child of the F1 Visa holder or a marriage certificate if they are the spouse and the I-20 Form of their F1 Visa holder. Besides that, there are no differences and the general requirements are: a passport, a photo of you, the DS-160 form, I-20 Form, visa fee payment receipt and proof of financial stability.
