Which documents do you need for the Student Visa interview?
Before the interview if you are applying for the F1 Visa then you need these documents: your passport (original and photocopied), the online visa application confirmation (DS-160), the visa fee payment receipt, a I-20 Form, a photo of you and proof of financial stability. If you are applying for the F2 Visa, then all of the above apply to you as well but you need two additional documents which are: a birth certificate if you are the child of the F1 Visa holder or a marriage certificate if you are the spouse and the I-20 Form of your F1 Visa holder.
The F2 Visa at the moment costs around 160 dollars which is way cheaper than the F1 Visa. Keep in mind that there might be other things you might have to pay for such as insurance fees depending from the country you are from. In any case, for every payment that you make save the receipt!
