How many Master’s Degrees does Harvard University offer?

Harvard’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences was established in 1872 and is responsible for the bulk of the university’s post-baccalaureate degree programs. It offers Master of Arts, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in about 56 areas. A fifth of GSAS students major in humanities, a quarter in social sciences, and more over half of graduate students study in science.
